I was not clear in my explanation...this is NOT one of those situations
where the entire breast is swollen and engorged...The nipple/areola and
superficial breast was soft...but I meant you could palpate "full" feeling
breast tissue within...like you can feel in a mom 12-24 hours before the
mature milk really starts flowing.  And she WAS diffusely edematous after
her first baby, but is not this time.  Mom is opposed to supplementing at
breast because of her experience with this with the first baby.

On day 5 (fri) when I last spoke with her she was pumping up to an ounce at
a time (total) which is a lot more than she could pump with the first baby.
(Took her over 2 weeks to work up to producing an ounce at a time)  Baby is
nursing, but very sleepy...I don't feel they are feeding her enough.  She
comes in again today for a naked weight.  Hopefully she is on her way to a
full milk supply this time.  If not there soon, I will offer her 
thyroid/testosterone/HcG testing.
