An operational helicopter will be full of all sorts of hazardous and
semi-hazardous fluids (hydraulic fluids, oils, coolants, grease, jet
fuel, etc.) All of these would need to be removed and all of the
plumbing removed or cleaned thoroughly. If you remove them on your site,
you probably would need to take precautions not to spill them onto the
ground and they would probably be classed as hazardous materials for the
purposes of disposal, but some of that depends on state and local rules.
Is there an Air National Guard unit near you - perhaps they would do the
stripping and cleanup for you.

Has anyone done an exhibit that involved adapting a real helicopter for
use by visitors? What were the major issues, pitfalls, advantages,
concerns, etc.? What kind of loading do I need for something like that?
Who are the experts I should talk to? Please warn me.
