My reply...
I read with amusement Christine M. Flowers' opinion piece,
LACTOSE-INTOLERANT.

I know, and Ms. Flowers appears to know that my sister-Lactivists are going
to respond in a fashion that resembles Hurricane Katrina.
Public breastfeeding is the civil rights issue of our time. My grandmother,
who passed away last year at age 91, could never see a mixed-race couple, or
a mixed race child without commenting on it. She would not have wished to
harm anyone or make anyone feel bad, she felt uncomfortable, and could never
just let it go, or keep it to herself.
Looking ahead a few decades, I can just imagine Ms. Flowers' granddaughters
rolling their eyes, and patting dear granny on the shoulder every time she
just *has* to pipe up with, "Just look at that breast hangin' out! In my
day, most decent folks would be too embarrassed to take their breasts out in
public! This world is just going to heck in a handbasket if even decent
folks just hang their breast out every time a baby needs to be fed!"
