We never expected such a large interest in writing prefaces for study
scores of Mieczyslaw Karlowicz's

   Odwieczne piesni op.10
   Rapsodia litewska op. 11
   Smutna opowiesc (histoire triste).

Your responses were a great surprise. Thank you for all your offers
and help. It enabled us to release Opp.10 and 11 only within one month.
An original English preface for the "sad story" is already written, and
concerning this text we are searching for a translator from English to
German. A German native speaker would be fine (or somebody with the
abilities of a native speaker). As the preface contains an extensive
and very expert analytic part, the translator should be a practitioner
or experienced in this field.

The score will be published in our study score series REPERTOIRE
EXPLORER, an edition of neglected works, which are no longer available
or were never available before. Our project is a direct and idealistic
response to the unfortunate fact, that the repertoire of classical music
is shrinking every day and most of the little known pieces are vanishing
into oblivion. We intend to help the music to revive and survive. For
this purpose we are exremely interested in getting to know music lovers
all over the world who are willing to take part in this practical work.

With best wishes from Munich
