Hi,
I have used the NPS Exhibit Planner software as well. I'm not familiar with Filemaker Pro outside the context of this program, so it's been a bit of a learning curve of trial-and-error figuring out how it works.
That aside, I find it is a very useful documenting tool, somewhat less useful as a planning tool as I find the numbering system serves to constrain your thinking if you set up the database too early in the project. However I see another poster has learned how to alter the numbering - is this something that would be beyond a Filemaker Pro novice like me or is it relatively straightforward?

Hi all,
I recently discovered the NPS software that Paul mentions below and am considering obtaining it.
Has anyone used this software before? If so, what are your thoughts?
Does anyone know of a similar product (a database that helps to track exhibit components including specimens, images, and graphics and eliminates re-keying information during the exhibit development process) that would operate using MS Access rather than FileMaker Pro?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Cheers,
Debra
