Hello Nancy,

We do quite a bit of integrating the arts and science. The Washington Pavilion has a science center, a visual art museum, a CineDome theater and two performing arts theaters.

Here are just a few examples.

Beethoven and Berlioz; a three month program that utilized viewing Beethoven era instruments from the National Music Museum with a lab creating a musical instrument and a lab exploring how sound waves travel-the science of sound. All the local fourth grade students participated in the program as well as other grade levels at teacher requests.

Ancient Egypt; a teacher requested program where the students watch the large format film Mysteries of Egypt and then choose from a menu of art, science, history and just for fun labs. Our local historical museum is an active part of this program with kids traveling between the two museums.

Summer Camps; each of our full day camps have three separate components, art, drama and science revolving around a central theme. Past themes have included, Outer Space, Crime Science, Ancient Civilizations, Inventions and others.

	Aloha,
Does anyone know of museum educational programs that integrate science
with culture and/or art? I'm interested in both formal and informal
programs, and especially ones that involve partnerships.
	Thanks,
	Nancy
