My word!  Not to the have the 8th!  In my opinion, the 8th is his most
impressive symphony--a true tour de force for the percussion section and
composed when VW was in his eighties.  Did the LP recording by Boult on
Angel (coupled with the two-piano concerto) ever make it to CD?--A
wonderful release.
