Speaking of rainbows here at SMM we have a 4 story glass enclosed 
stair way . the banisters have glass panels . the edges of these 
panels  project rainbows at different locations along the stairs. 
totally unplanned and a fleeting example

Another discovered phenomena is in the outermost parking ramp 
elevator is adjacent to a glass wall.
when the doors are closed a slit still exists between the edge of the 
door and the elevator compartment.
A very clear  image of out side is projected on the wall of the elevator.

I suppose these things just get a glance by most people, but It seems 
that accidental things like this could be  interpreted  in  a way to 
lead others to observe their daily world more closely and see the 
science connections.
