Brian Wilbur Grundstrom's Celebration!  To Be Presented By Trinity Chamber
Orchestra On January 16 - Richard Fazio To Conduct Washington D.C.
Performance

Brian Wilbur Grundstrom's Celebration!  for Chamber Orchestra will be
performed by the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, Richard Fazio conductor, on
January 16, 2005 at the historic Trinity Theater, 36th and O Streets NW,
in Washington DC.  The work will be presented along with music by Mozart,
Puccini, Gershwin and Cecile Chaminade.

The composer writes about the work, "Celebration!  deals with the joy
and celebration of life that we need to express after coming to terms
with the darker side.  With all its excitement and vigor, as well as its
interesting unexpected turns, Celebration!  makes a great concert opener!"
Erik E.  Ochsner - Music Director of the SONOS Chamber Orchestra has
said of the work, "We had such positive feedback from audiences on how
much they enjoyed Brian Grundstrom's work, Celebration!  It is modern,
yet tonal, enjoyable, and playable."

Brian Wilbur Grundstrom obtained a BA in music from Gettysburg College
and an MBA in Arts Administration from SUNY Binghamton.  He studied piano
performance with Michael Matsinko, Serge Petitgirard, and Walter Ponce,
and composition with Dexter Weikel and Fred Speck.  He has twice been a
finalist in the Composer's Guild Composition Competition, and was awarded
an American Composers Forum's Performance incentive fund with Pianist
Craig Randal Johnson.  Mr. Grundstrom has served on the Council for the
New York Chapter of the American Composers Forum since 1996.  Previously
a Programmer in Information Technologies for the Brooklyn Academy of
Music, Brian recently moved to DC and is now a Database Administrator
for the Washington National Opera.  He continues composition studies
with John David Earnest.  Brian sang with the New York City Gay Men's
