I am an IBCLC/RNC practicing in a hospital setting, and also following
outpatient clients. Once mom been diagnosed with yeast, some of our
pediatricians will not treat the baby unless they can visualize white
patches in the mouth. Despite multiple text references (Riordan, Hale,
Newman), they want *research* that shows both should be treated, even if
baby asymptomatic. I have not been able to find any studies. Are there
any research studies out there on this topic?

Thanks for your help, and for the priviledge of participating in this
list, benefiting from all your experience in lactation.

Respectfully,

Carolyn Jacobson, RNC, IBCLC
