I got my information on recertifying in the mail a week or so ago and it specifically said you can not get credit for attending the same conference or workshop twice. Nor can you get credit for teaching a course over and over (one time credit). I know of someone who took a privately run "bf educator" course when starting out and then retook it after she passed the IBCLC exam for CERP hours as her reason. IBCLCs are encouraged to move up to higher level conferences so that we continue to learn and grow in our profession.
