This is anectdotal, although I have read and heard of the connection, I
don't have references handy. My nephew was the most colicky baby I have
ever seen, he would scream in agony for hours (literally, while dad or mom
held him on an outdoor swing,) My SIL is convinced it was from dairy in her
diet. This baby had ulcers in his esophagus and he was on medications. She
might consider a dairy elimination keeping in mind that it can take a while
to show any improvement. (as discussed recently) At 9 months he went on a
nursing strike and my SIL started giving him soy milk and he was a much
happier boy after that. (no, I wasn't consulted on appropriate substitutes!
and this was 10 yrs ago!)
