It has been my experience as an LC that both Avent and Nuk nipples work
better for babies who are otherwise breastfed. (for working moms and those
needing supplementation) However, from my recent experience with baby #3,
the Nuk has been a real lifesaver, helping to keep my little guy nursing.
It has a slower flow than the Avent and a longer teat. I notice a real
difference when I use the Nuks vs. Avent, i.e.; he nurses better if my
sitter uses the Nuks while I am work than he does if she uses the Avent
nipple.
Good luck!
