Like it or not, CM is seen to be an effete pastime by young males.
I was glad to see that in the movie "Master and Commander," the
warrior/captain and warrior/doctor enjoyed making music together--on
string instrumets no less!--a pleasant change from the "band-fag" jokes
of the typical T 'n' A movies which teens flock to by the millions,
including me in my time.

In Sacramento we have a huge population of Russians, many males who
arrive in the country with string instruments and a knowledge of how to
play them!  Unfortunately those instruments are dropped within months.
