Beethoven Symphonies

I have been pleasantly surprised by the overall excellence of a relatively
cheap ($19.95) set of the complete Beethoven 9 Symphonies conducted by
Hermann Scherchen.  The label is Archipel and the seller is Berkshire
Records.  The sound is first class high fidelity monaural and the
interpretations stimulating, invigorating and fresh.  What more can
one ask for??
