Radu Lupu, on a Decca disc coupled with D664, was a breakthrough for me,
not just for D960, but for that composer in general.  Previous to hearing
it, I'd always put anything by Schubert in the tray, listen, say, "Um-hmm,
nice," and within 15 minutes I'd be checking my email or something.  I
got that recording out of the library, listened late one night, and ...
well, Schubert's never been a bunch of notes since.
