Jay, I would suggest you have this Mom start expressing her colostrum and  
bring it to the hospital.  Then she is to give strict instructions that the  
first thing her new baby is to do is breastfeed and only if the lab values are  
too low then she can give her EBM as a supplement.  She should also request  
that the baby stay with her, doing skin-to-skin, and have the blood sugars drawn 
 while she is holding or nursing her baby.
Obviously, if the baby is symptomatic then other measures such as an IV may  
be needed but no formula.
