I just received my Sept 04 copy of AJN (American Journal of Nursing) and on
page 31, there was a blurb under the Drug Watch column about domperidone. To
summarize, it was reprinted from the FDA, warning "against women using
unapproved drug, domperidone, to increase milk production" and included possible
side effects. It instructed nurses to apprise lactating women of the
nonpharmacologic strategies.....[and]....to use only drugs that have been FDA approved
for that purpose"

It is from the FDA talk paper from June 04 which is available at this
website: _www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/answers/2004/ans01292.html_ (htt
p://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/answers/2004/ans01292.html)

I apologize if this was mentioned over the summer as I was offline.
