Laptops at SHA meetings?

We just got and read out SHA Newsletter and were stunned to find out
that presenters are now being told that they must bring a laptop
computer with them.

WHAT??!!! The original paperwork said not to bring a laptop as one
would be provided.

For those of us traveling from the States, this will be a real
hardship. Does anyone know what is going on?
