The nipple is not so important as long as the teat is short enough to
not gag the baby and the base is wide enough to support a wide gape.
Flow can be controlled by pacing the feeding (Dee Kassing published one
way to do this in JHL last year). My own modifications include crossing
the lips with the nipple (tip up above the baby's upper lip and base at
baby's chin) until baby opens wide; and holding the bottle a little more
horizontally, so the nipple is only half full of milk to help the baby
be in charge of the flow.
