Four new opportunities for students and teachers have been added to
the Act Now page of the education section of the NASA home page. Act
Now is updated frequently with announcements about NASA education
activities, resources, and opportunities.

NASA Summer Faculty Research Opportunities
Applications are available for faculty members to apply for Faculty
Awards for Research (FAR) Fellowship Awards and Space Grant
Fellowship Awards. Visit the Web site for eligibility, criteria and
submission guidelines. The early selection deadline is March 14 and
the final selection deadline is May 2.

NIAC Student Fellows Announcement
NASA's Institute of Advanced Concepts (NIAC) is offering up to four
$9000 fellowships to creative college students with ideas that can
dramatically advance the Vision for Space Exploration. Student
fellows are required to team with an experienced mentor in an
aerospace-related field from academia or industry. The deadline for
proposals is April 15, 2005.

Future Flight Design Challenge
Students in grades 5-8 are invited to take a look into the future of
aviation and develop a new design for the National Airspace System.
Winners will be featured in a webcast on May 4, and their concept
will be brought to life by Airspace Concept Evaluation System (ACES)
software used by aeronautics experts. Register online between
February 28 and March 15, 2005.

Future Flight Design Evaluation
Science, math, and technology educators teaching grades 4-7 are
invited to participate in a pilot study of one of NASA Ames' newest
educational Web sites: Future Flight Design. Provide feedback to
improve the program and aid in the development of future NASA
educational products. Apply between February 22 and March 4, 2005.
