The posts on Helping Baby Learn to nurse have been gems....
1.  Almost term infant.... mom, LC, Dr. expect to follow the baby closely
for the time it takes to recover and get to due date
2.  when a baby needs to supplement..try to end the feeding at the breast..
this should be the way he remembers the breast.. comforting, happy etc.
3.  Baby steps... creative and consistent practice to bring infant back to
nursing.  Baby can learn, mom can teach.
4.  Follow up frequently... encourages persistence; mom needs support for
her efforts
