I wasn't sure whether I wanted to respond but I have a spare minute and can't
keep my hands of the keyboard.

I have been "on the carpet" at the local hospitals so often I can tell you
how many threads per inch are in those dirty rugs.

Each time I get called in, I ask them to "pull my jacket" like in a cop show,
and to find the records for the babies hurt by my policies about
breastfeeding, blood sugar, rooming in, babies in moms' beds, early discharge, hyperbili,
and more.   Each time the response is the same:   The file is empty.   The
reason is simple.   Our job is to assess babies and dyads and sort out trouble.
Obviously, LCs are in a different position than MDs, but the guts you have
displayed has led to nothing but good for babies and moms, right?   We're good
at what we do.   Not flawless but awfully damn good.

Gather support and keep going carefully.   Injustice triumphs temporarily,
but the long term results will allow you survive and thrive.
