I have two humble requests for the fine participants on this list. Hoping they don't seem TOO demanding or out of line. 1)as someone who has been a LC for a LONG time, I am trying to pare down my resume but still include all relevant experiences and achievments. Anyone have a bulleted list or idea of what is relevant when sharing your experience with potential employers? I have looked at job descriptions, etc and if I come with some good lists, I'd be glad to share.
2) I've been seeing a LOT of 34-37 week babies lately, and thought that SOMEWHERE I had some printed information, from a conference (ILCA? BWC? Mary Rose?) about working with them, that could be shared with moms. Several of them have been told by NICU/Nursery staff that "baby is nursing fine, you don't need to pump anymore (!) and 15 minutes per breast is OK." In MY experience, these babies tire easily, don't always nurse well and may get into trouble if mom is not aware of the subtle differences in feeding behaviors between "term" and "not quite term" babies.
Thanks in advance for any help
