And what about pediatricians scaring mothers into supplementing an infant (who is nursing wonderfully and milk is just about in but may have lost 7% of birth weight by day 3) or he may have to be hospitalized for dehydration, jaundice, etc? 

Saw a pediatrician today who just delivered her second baby.  She told me he was breastfeeding great but there was a six-pack of formula on the bedside table.  When I inquired as to why she said, "well, you know, of course there is nothing there yet....(pointing to her breasts)"

Sigh...
