The ASTC-managed MarsQuest exhibition that is being newly refurbished to
continue to tour includes two robotic rovers. The rovers in the updated
exhibition use new technology and--I'm assured--are easier to use and
maintain. Call me if you have a question about them.

Below is a suggestion we just got from our contacts at Cornell
University for getting live feeds of the images... We're hoping to set
up a dedicated computer for this, since we anticipate a LOT of interest
in our community as there are many connections here to the project.

Landing dates are Saturday, Jan 3 around 11:30pm (Eastern time) and
Saturday Jan 24/Sunday morning Jan 25th depending on your time zone (but
just after midnight Eastern time).

Check out the website at http://www.athena.cornell.edu/ for ongoing
updates.

Live feed info:

"The first step in the process is to fill out the form at the following
url: http://marsdata1.jpl.nasa.gov/muse/alliance

It requires a bunch of computer info that pertains to the machine you
will use to receive the images.

Sign up for expanded if you want the
>images pushed to you automatically over the internet (these will be the
>raw images, sent to you at the same time as the science teams get
>them). You might want to dedicate a machine for this now or in the
future
>as the data volume could be high (don't ask me how much yet, we're
still
>estimating!) You'll be asked to sign a license agreement for free
>JPL-proprietary software that you can then install."
