I think Rumsfeld and Cheney are savvy, educated guys, so don't be
overly sure about the above statement.  Cheney's wife Lynne is definitely
arts-aware.  I didn't catch the White House Douglas-fir lighting ceremony
this year on C-Span, but last year, an Asian soprano from The Met appeared
and sang "O Holy Night" and aced all the high notes.  W appeared impressed.
