Now, now boy and girls--

Historians, and other folks who generally have to write for a living, are
normally recognized as being better writers than folks who just take
pictures and scratch around in the dirt !!  ;o)

That's why history grad school programs actually have courses with titles
like "research and writing seminar."  If hist. arch. students were actually
required to take some grad school training in history, all would be well
... or at least probably better.
