I have been asked by the teacher of a College level Medical ethics course
to address her class about the "ethics" of ABM marketing etc.
She asked me this after I was venting about the American ad compaign. She
was most indignant that an MD would sign a letter drafted by the formula
company.
This woman is a very solid BF supporter and she also views this as a way
to introduce these students to the normalcy of BF and make them a little
more aware of how issues get compromised.
My question for all of you, is if you had this oportunity, what, and how
would you present it?
I'm thinking of starting with the WHO code and going from there.
I would also probably slip in a few details of a certain boycott.
I'm sure there is SO much more, so I'm asking for your input.
Disclaimer: I will not receive any personal benefit from this
presentation, financial or even credit toward my schooling. I'm simply
doing it to hopefully get someone thinking and to present the issues, with
a hope to impact the breastfeeding future of at least one family....
Thanks
