Actually... yes, another session proposal. I'm thinking of organizing one
and could use a little help from a willing co-presenter or two...

One that I'd like to run in '04 would be on the virtues of going LOW-tech
rather than high-tech. Somewhat contrarian *kaff* given the host
institution for next year. I was planning to talk about why keeping the
tech level low has benefits, and still lets you be innovative, even if
you're not using some state-of-the-art-gizmo. Not that I don't love a
good gizmo as much as the next geek... but I could speak on some of these
low-tech advantages (cost being the obvious one, but there are plenty of
others) and show some concrete ways they've helped us.

Personally, I could come at this from a programming point of view, but if
some exhibits folks wanted to toss in their two cents, so much the
better.

I could go on (and on), but if this sounds interesting to you, let me
know. You could reply to this e-mail, or better yet my work one:

(don't forget the 2)

I'm toying with calling this "Wireless, Schmireless!"
