Free-Choice Learning Researcher Assistant

 

The Institute for Learning Innovation, a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit
learning research and development organization (www.ilinet.org) is
seeking to hire a detail-oriented, self-motivated  research/evaluation
assistant.  The incumbent will work as part of a team of dedicated,
nationally prominent free-choice learning researchers, evaluators,
educational developers and trainers.  

 

Duties will include project tracking and data collection, reduction,
entry, analysis and interpretation related to free-choice learning.
Incumbent will be expected to participate in project meetings, and in
consultation with the project director will take significant initiative
in moving a project towards completion without compromising either the
project's schedule or quality.   Among the projects the incumbent will
work on are two national research efforts related to environmental
learning; one investigating the long-term impact of zoos and aquariums
on visitor knowledge and understanding of animal biology and
conservation, the other investigating the ability of a local
conservation organization to build long-term public support and
commitment for sustaining a fragile ecosystem.  

 

The Institute is seeking an individual with general knowledge and
interest in free-choice learning, skills in behavioral science research
including interview experience and data entry.  Knowledge of software
programs such as SPSS and SurveyPro are highly desirable.  Individual
must have a commitment to detail, accuracy and excellence.  Experience
in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis preferred;
college degree in a relevant field required. 

 

Salary: $35,000, full benefits.  Application Deadline: 21 June.
