I attended the Chicago school system for many years and it was, 'a historian'.
My children went through a New Jersey school system and they still use 'a
historian' when refering to 'a historian'! I rather like the Queen's English.
I do know American English and there are so many rules and regulations that
it's an accomplishment for anyone to be able to have a command of the language
at all! :-)!
I have been enjoying all the conversation on this subject!
