WHO has just published an 'Atlas of health in Europe'. It is freely
available online, in .pdf format. The region covered includes the European
Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and the 12 countries of the former
USSR, now the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the central and
south-eastern European countries. There are no stats on breastfeeding but
lots of general data on various health indicators, including birth rates,
mortality by cause, and infant, perinatal and maternal mortality, clearly
readable in diagrams, graphs and some text. You will find it at:
