Hi, All: Baby Blues is an excellent strip. The family now has three
children and with the birth of each there has been a plethora of birthing
and breatfeeding ideas. I personally think humor is a fabulous way to get
a point across and is most effective tool when dealing with "hot" issues
with hospital staff. I am preparing a learning packet on formula for our
staff and Sunday's Baby Blues strip is a last minute addition. I have used
many of Neil's cartoons from his book as well as others that I come across
in the daily newspaper strips. Several years ago Doonesbury ran several
strips on breastfeeding when the main character had a baby, which I have
used in various inservices. The staff seems to "get it" better with the
addition of a little humor.
