Hi people,

I just got this message from the Lancet about this weeks issue. It is not
online until 0100 27 June, but I'm real curious to see if breastfeeding and
artificial milk is mentioned!

"NEW RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS HOW SIX MILLION CHILD DEATHS
WORLDWIDE COULD BE AVOIDED EVERY YEAR
Leading public-health scientists are calling for urgent action
to end a global public-health disaster--that of the fate of more
than 10 million children worldwide under five years of age who
die every year. The key finding in a series of five articles to
be published in THE LANCET over the next month is that two-
thirds of these child deaths could be prevented with existing
knowledge and known treatments for the main causes of childhood
death: diarrhoeal disease, malaria, pneumonia, and neonatal
causes." www.thelancet.com

yours,

Sara Bernard
