Hirschsprung can manifest itself anytime from birth (as a grave condition called toxic megacolon which requires urgent NICU care and surgery) to
later months, in which it also requires surgery as Alice Ernest describes .It has nothing to do with the diet. It is a congenital lack of nervous
terminations in the intestine.
However, of course, as after any kind of bowel surgery, breast is best for healing afterwards.
