I have in my Collection of Keepers, a list called Ten Things I Don't Worry
About Anymore by Carolyn Thomas, LLL Leader. It was published in Leaven in
1986. #2 says, "I don't worry about a mother "succeeding" or "failing" at
breastfeeding. . . I couldn't possibly know all of the emotional, physical,
or family pressures each mother is going through that might influence the
outcome of her breastfeeding efforts, but I can congratulate her on trying
so hard to give her baby the best, no matter what the ultimate result."
I think this is one of the hardest things about counseling.
Diane, LLLL
