Does anyone do ox swallow tests on babies while breastfeeding. We have long been frustrated that our SCN babies get this test whenever they have any problems with a bottle, but there is no consideration given to the fact that the baby may not have any problems while breastfeeding. At present, the
test is done with a bottle, typically the baby is dx with reflux and made NPO, so is back on og/ng feeds! What do some of the rest of you do? I'm interested in info asap, as we have mom facing this possibility today who will be devastated if they don't let her continue to breastfeed. Is there
research? Please reply privately as well as to the list so I can get info asap! Thanks
Marsha
