When Dadant introduced PLASTICELL foundation about 25 years ago, I was so fed
up
with wiring frames, and affixing foundation to the wire on 5000 frames each
year, I jumped at the use of Plasticell. I wish it was available when I
started beekeeping in 1932.
DuraGilt should have NEVER BEEN INVENTED. If, for any reason, the wax is
damaged and you scrape it off, there is absolutely NO WAY to FORCE the bees
to rebuild that
comb. I despise DURAGILT.
