Hi Rose and Lactnetters- I had provided the articles (from Australia mostly)
and the idea to the midwife who was doing the study about the effectiveness
of cabbage leaves. This wasn't a quote from me..............I was working as
a staff nurse and (not formally) lactation specialist at the time. I have
amused memories of one of the Doctors yelling - "what next - radishes".  The
study was exhibited at the annual  nurses conference and we were a media hit
at a time when breastfeeding was not so much in the news. So much for
believing what is in print.....
