I have managed women who could roll over on their sides and had a helper
hold one pump flange on the breast. The way the way the pumps are designed,
I can't figure out a way to make pumping lying flat work. Is the woman
going to be allowed to get up to go to the bathroom? This is going to
happen at intervals during the day, and could be the time she pumps.
Another idea is to call one of the pump company engineers and see if they
have any ideas.
