Wow Janice Reynolds!! You spelled it out perfectly! Never really
thought about the abm companies always needing to find NEW customers!
Thank you. Is it possible that formula companies also managed to
convince hospital management that by offering these freebies and
becoming a "sales force" (of course we all know the companies didn't
actually tell hospital management that they would be given this title),
the hospital would benefit by these freebies playing a role in the
patients' perception of "hospital stay satisfaction", and therefor more
likely to return to their hospital for future medical care? Or did
hospitals already know that if they could get a woman to deliver in
their hospital and go home having had a happy/enjoyable, relaxing
"spa-like" experience in addition to excellent medical care, they would
more likely return to that same hospital for future medical care (as
studies do indicate)- and when abm companies got wind of this, they
licked their chops, rubbed their hands together and "went for the kill"?
Mary
