Beloved Lactnetters,
I must second the wisdom of Teresa Pitman, encouraging
Ann Perry in helping a mom sort out a physician's
advice.
Bottom line, a woman's body is her own. A parent has
the final say in the care of their own child. I think
anyone, under the care of ANY healthcare provider, has
the right to accept, or refuse to follow, a
recommended course of treatment, and to get opinions
from other HCP's as well.
Maybe this mom would be wise to look for another
physician, who is more willing to work with her,
rather than against her, in achieving the mom's goals?
Carole
