Possibly related personal experience: 1st born daughter had high channel
palate, Bf lead to cracked and bleeding nipples, persisted w/Bf of course,
nipples improved, Bf exclusively x 5-6 months then continued w/Bf after intro
to semi-solids till 9+ months of age, ....during her preteen years she had a
"palate expander" appliance and then still many years of orthodontic work
anyway.
