How do people work a sliding scale? I assume you start with your "standard
fee" and go down - do you have it worked out ahead of time (i.e. Based on
income, this family pays x% of regular fee)? Do you do an income assessment
at all, or ask what people can pay? Finally, do you offer a sliding scale
upfront, or wait for clients to ask?
