These are the Soldados of the Presidio of Santa Barbara, California. They
reenact the leather jacket soldiers of the 18th century in California.

Michael Hardwick (the guy loading his gun in the foreground) will be at the
SHA conference in Providence, giving a paper.

One of this group is a woman dressed as a soldier. These are also several
women playing soldier's wives.
