Another du Pre recording I am particularly fond of is her live Elgar
concerto with her then husband, Barenboim and the Chicago SO.  It is from
the early 70's, just prior to her premature retirement.  I find in many
ways it is much more expressive and emotive than her earlier recording.
It is coupled with a fine version of the Enigma Variations.

BTW, the remastered EMI Elgar concerto has not and still is not available
in the good ole USA.  Shame on EMI.
