Here's fan mail about George Thomson. He is a fine conductor (Berkeley
Symphony), educator (San Domenico School), violinist (Carmel Bach), and
reviewer (www.sfcv.org), and - most importantly, to me - he has now come
up with this headline for his review of the Maazel-Bavarian Radio Brahms
orgy in Davies Hall (where the John Adams premiere took place last month):

   "Yeah, Well, My Father Knew Johannes Brahms."

It's almost an anticlimax that Thomson's review reflects the reality of
the two concerts, unlike an astonishing mis-chronicle of the same event
in an unnamed metropolitan daily. Read the review, enjoy the headline:
