Don't forget the last movement of the G minor piano quartet of Brahms.
I once heard a group do the quartet in Aspen - Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas
Zukerman (on viola), Ronald Leonard on cello, and Lee Luvisi (a fabulous
pianist who never received his due) - and, unheard of in Aspen, the
musicians responded to the unending applause by encoring the last movement.
One of my great concert-going experiences. And all because of that Gypsy
music a la Brahms.
