If the baby's mouth is colonized, then it is colonized. I cannot imagine that 
there could be such a high level of antibodies that it would eradicate the 
strep mutans. However, she can treat her own strep mutans and that in her 
baby's mouth. According to Mark Breiner, DDS, a person's immune system does 
influence the health of the mouth. She might want to read his book "Whole 
Body Dentistry". In the meantime,  this is how I have stopped decay in my 
son's mouth--for some reason that the dentist was baffled by, his two top 
molars decayed soon after eruption. I brush his teeth twice a day with 
non-fluoride toothpaste, spinkled with pascalite (a form of bentonite 
clay--do a search for pascalite on the web) and 2 drops of colloidal silver 
(excess colloidal silver--way more than a few drops--can turn the skin 
permanently grey--keep out of the child's reach). It has definately worked. 
He has also received a constitutional homeopathic remedy.
